Shooting portraits is one of my favourite briefs. And it can be as varied as my subjects.
As a London based photographer, my portraiture work includes commissions for artists, designers, architects, chefs, publishers, recruiters and business leaders. Whilst professional photography is always essential for corporate portraits, the communication of personality and authenticity in corporate photography is a new requirement. Delivering humanity in all portraiture is my personal passion.
Whether classic headshots for personal use or a more candid photo that captures the character and movement of a portrait subject, I ensure my sitters feel comfortable, relaxed and most importantly, themselves, which is essential for a good photo.
Many sitters are not very comfortable with the photography process, its really common to hear “I hate having my photograph taken, I’m really un-photogenic.” My view of this common sentiment being “Don’t worry, that’s my job.”
